COVID-19 Update April 2021
We recognize our responsibility to protect the health of those we are privileged to serve. Our staff will continue to guide families, as we always have, in ways they can meaningfully commemorate the life of their loved one, while adhering to the guidance issued by federal, provincial and local public health officials. We are committed to providing a safe environment in our funeral home during arrangements, visitations, and services.
We have implemented additional measures to ensure your safety, as well as the safety of our Team, which include:
*Introducing enhanced cleaning protocols in our facility, with particular focus on high traffic and high contact areas.
*All visitors will be required to wash/sanitize their hands, wear a mask and leave their contact information upon arrival or they will NOT be permitted to enter Adams Funeral Home.
*During visitations and services, we ask that upon arrival, you remain in your vehicle until an attendant instructs you to come into the building. There is absolutely NO gathering permitted on the funeral home property. Once inside, you may share your condolences and provide support to the family but limit your physical contact and practice social distancing. We strongly discourage hugging, kissing or handshakes to anyone outside your household.
*The current directive permits indoor ceremonies to a maximum of 50 attendees and outdoor ceremonies to a maximum of 75 attendees. Ceremonies are invitation only at this time and can be recorded and live streamed so other guests can watch virtually.
* Adams Funeral Home will be suspending post funeral receptions with food and beverages until further notice.
*When making funeral arrangements in person, we are limiting it to a maximum of 3 people (the executor/person in charge and one or two family members or friends).
* If you are coughing, have a fever or respiratory illness and/or have travelled in the last 14 days we ask you to contact your health provider or the local health unit and do not enter our building.
*We thank you for your cooperation and understanding during these difficult times. We understand that family and friends need to come together in community for support during the loss of a loved one. Our promise remains the same, to serve our families with the utmost dignity and respect. If you have any questions about your options during this time, please do not hesitate to call.
