Passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 6th, 2017 at Hospice Simcoe following a brief illness. Debra Burgess in her 63rd year devoted partner and best friend of Gord Armstrong. Debra is survived by her brother Barry Thornburg and sisters Pamela Thornburg and Lynn Thornburg. Predeceased by her brother Leonard Thornburg and her sister Carol Mather. Debra will be fondly remembered by Amy (Shawn) McKie, Adam (Cindy) Armstrong, Sean Campbell, Nicholas Armstrong, Nathan Armstrong, Emma Armstrong and Tyler Armstrong as well as her loving mother and father in-law Bill and Margaret Armstrong. Friends will be received at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME 445 St. Vincent Street (just north of Cundles Rd), Barrie on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 2 – 5 p.m. Memorial donations to the Women and Children’s Shelter of Barrie, David Busby Street Centre or Hospice Simcoe would be appreciated by the family.
