BIBB, ELLA IVY JULIA (nee Newman) – Passed away peacefully on September 2, 2021 at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in her 90th year. Beloved wife of Reginald, and loving mother of Susan and Roland McGrath and Stephen Bibb. Cherished grandmother of Christine and Derek Vokey, Sarah and Jason Grady, Mandi and Brad Cantelon, Buddy and Jen McGrath and great-grandmother of Robert, Michael, Sean, Owen, and Drew Vokey, Caden and Addisyn GradyWesley, Blake and Logan Cantelon. and Emma and Miles McGrath. Predeceased by her parents, Stewart and Florence Newman. Our favourite memory was her dancingReginald and Ella’s brother Clement were great friends and that’s how they met. When they were married, Ella was 22 and Reginald was 27. They decided to come to Canada a month after they were married for a better life. They sailed May 3rdon the SS Steamship Atlantic which turned out to be Reginald’s old troupe ship called the Georgic and landed in Canada on May 10th1954. They were happily married for 67 ½years before Ella’s passing.  Ella loved to read love stories, and for a long time she enjoyed to knit, do embroidery and sew before her arthritis in her hands made it sore to do these things. She loved to play on her daughter Susan’s small piano and sing. Ella loved to travel and see the world. At one time Ella and Reginald lived in Newmarket where they became good friends with 5 couples and when they moved Ella stayed close with the woman. They would go away for a weekend every year and at one time they would take a week off and go to Florida and eventually went back to a weekend a year for over 5o years. She will be dearly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her and especially by her family.
