Janet Louise Golden, resident of Barrie, passed away peacefully at her home on July 29, 2021 at the age of 72 years. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Rolufs. Dear mother of Kimberly Rolufs (Greg Martyniuk), Cara Myre (Michel Myre) and Corrie Rolufs. Adored ‘Nana’ to her grandchildren Lucy and Camille Martyniuk, and Elliot and Myles Myre. Much-loved by her brother William Golden and his wife Audrey Golden of Sault Ste. Marie, as well as the late John Golden and his wife Pearl Golden. She will be sadly missed by all the aforementioned, as well as her nephews, nieces, close neighbours and friends.

Janet was a gentle soul and a true lady who carried herself with grace and beauty. She was willing to share her support, wisdom and experience with others without hesitation. She single-handedly increased the stock price of Red Rose Tea over her lifetime. She was known as a night owl, rarely emerging before 10 am. She had great success in all her endeavours, both as a mother, aunt and grandmother, as a horticulturalist extraordinaire, and through her contributions to the Kincardine United Church and Beta Sigma Phi sorority.

Visitation will be held at the Adams Funeral Home, Barrie, on Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 12:00-2:00pm. The funeral service will be held directly thereafter at 2:00pm with Rev. Andrea Wheaton officiating.

Memorial donations to RVH Cancer Care Program or Burton Ave United Church would be much appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Messages of condolence can be forwarded to the family through
