Joseph “Joe” Pierre Stanley
Passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at the age of 56. There are no words to truly describe how we feel about Joe, but words are all we have. Joe was one of a kind, he wholeheartedly loved the Lord and cared about people. He really was the kind of person that would give you the shirt off his back. It was such an inspiration to watch him live out his faith daily. He deeply loved his wife and kids, we cherish the time we were given together. He was the funniest person I know and was always making us laugh! Life will never be the same without you Joe, we miss you already. Cherished husband of Wendy (nee Fuchs). Loving dad to Jacob, James and Mackenzie Stanley. Dear son of James and the late Louise Stanley. Beloved brother of Paul (Barbara) of Creemore, Jimmy (Elma) of Maberly, David (Michelle) of Cambridge, John (Barbara) of Annan, and Daniel (Trish Summerfield) of Cambridge and sister-in-law Wendy Stanley, his many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, co-workers at Honda and many friends and extended family. Joe was predeceased by his grandparents Revington (Ida) (Ada) Stanley and George (Verna) Hardy. A private family service will be held. A celebration of life will be at a later date when the pandemic restrictions have been lifted. Memorial donations to the Bassari African Mission or Hospice Simcoe would be greatly appreciated. We are so grateful for the love and care shown to our family at Simcoe Hospice. In Matthew 25:35 it says “for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.” You are all Gods hands and feet.
