Joyce Helena Diano (nee Bowles)
(January 29, 1944 – August 16, 2019)

Joyce passed away peacefully at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie on Friday, August 16, 2019 in the arms of the love her life and soul mate, Salvatore (Sam). Joyce will be fondly remembered by family and friends for her easy smile, positive attitude and love of life. She enjoyed life to the fullest as an avid knitter and fan of John Grisham novels. Joyce’s biggest love was spending time at their home in South River, spending many hours in her paddle boat and enjoying the wildlife.

Predeceased by her parents, George (2002) and Helena (2003) Bowles and forever remember by “Big Bro”, Eric (Olive ,predeceased ) and family. Joyce will also be remembered by her large extended Diano family which includes many nieces and nephews whom she adored.

Joyce is now at rest after a long Journey with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer (6 years) which she dealt with, with dignity and grace, with Sam beside her every step of the way. Special thanks to Dr.Amit Oza and his team of professionals at Princess Margaret Cancer Care, the staff at RVH (Palliative Care and Cancer Care) and Hospice Simcoe for their care and support for Joyce, family and friends.

Visitation at Adams Funeral Home 445 St. Vincent Street, Barrie on Monday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m and Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 10 a.m. until time of Service at 11 o’clock a.m. Internment Barrie Union Cemetery. A Celebration of Life and fellowship at Adams Funeral Home to follow the interment service.

Memorial donations to Princess Margaret Cancer Care (Ovarian Cancer Research),
Royal Victoria Hospital (Cancer Care or Palliative Care), or Hospice Simcoe would be appreciated by the family.
