June 28, 1956 - December 1, 2021
Peacefully with her family by her side, God welcomed Lillian Donato with open arms into heaven on December 1, 2021. Adored by husband Anthony Donato; loving mother to Eddie (Cathy Emerson) Donato, David (Andrea) Donato, and late Connie (Eric) Giguère. Loving Nini and Nona to Olive, Norah, Deacon, Linah, Abbygael, and Mathéo. Loving daughter of the late Gasper and late Fina Aceti; loving daughter in law of the late Ido and Concetta (Eleanor) Donato. Cherished sister of the late John (Laurie) Aceti and Rita (Frank) Francella; cherished sister in law of Alba (Ugo) Capy. Wonderful aunt to Armand, Jamie, Patti, Gasper, Stephanie, Andrea, the late Christy, Anthony, and Katrina.
Lillian dedicated her life to her family and was loved and held dear by all. She was genuinely caring, honest, and opened her heart and home to so many.
Special thanks to Dr. Jutzi, Dr. Cohen, Dr. Stepita, and the third floor nursing staff of the Palliative Cancer Care Unit at RVH. A special thanks to all the loving care Lillian and the family received at Hospice Simcoe. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the RVH Cancer Unit or to Hospice Simcoe.
A Funeral mass will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (65 Amelia St. Barrie, ON) on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 10 am. A private interment will take place following the service. Messages of condolences may be forwarded to the family through adamsfuneralhome.ca
