April 10, 1960 - September 20, 2021
Linda Louise Hawker (nee Barratt) left this earth to be with Jesus in heaven through a heart attack on September 20th at the age of 61.
Linda is survived by her husband James and her beloved children Lesley (Jamie), Matthew, Dale (Rosslyn), Derek, Tim, Bethany, Kevin, Rebekah, Rachel, and Kayla and leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Conor, Eddie, Torrance, George and John, Audrey, Jack, Owen and one more soon to be named. She is survived by her brother John (Jane) and Phil (Judy). She was predeceased by her brother Steve and sister Laura, as well as her parents, Don and Betty. We have great comfort in knowing she will rejoin those in Heaven she greatly missed here on earth.
Linda lived by faith in Jesus Christ and she found profound joy in her family and her friends who, in her heart, were simply her extended family. Her love for others was abundant and she made intimate friendships in the smallest of social interactions that are typically taken for granted. Lifelong connections were made at the grocery store checkout or in the yard after school waiting for the kids. Her joys were realized in quality moments spent with friends, community, family, and Jesus.
Linda left this earth far sooner than expected and her absence is deeply felt by all. Her family is comforted by the memories of her unwavering love and the knowledge that she rests safely in the arms of Jesus.
