Honoring Michael Frederick Hill: A Loving Husband, Father, Grandpa

It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Michael (Mike) Frederick Hill announce his sudden passing at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie on Monday, February 1, 2021 with the love of his family surrounding him.

Mike will be remembered by Wendy, his loving wife of 45 years, his beloved and devoted daughter Amanda (Jason) Withers, his cherished grandson Hudson, his brother Bob (Faye) Hill, his niece Katherine Hill, Joanne and Sandy Cerovich, his family, friends and colleagues.

Mike was a rock of stability and a source of strength for his family. There was not a day that went by that someone didn’t seek out his sage advice. He was that steadfast person that helped everyone through thick and thin and was always there to help navigate through life’s opportunities and challenges.

Although gone too soon, Mike left behind a legacy of a life well lived, a life full of love and a strong sense of family and the strength that it holds. He also left behind incredible memories of a loving husband, father, and Papa. He touched so many lives and we are grateful for each and every day we had with him.

Mike (Dad), you are so LOVED, and will be deeply missed. We will hold you tightly in our hearts and your legacy will live on forever and always. Xox

The family is deeply grateful for the love and support in many heart-felt forms from too many people to name individually, including the doctors and nurses who cared for Mike at RVH in his final hours.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date once it is safe to socially gather. In the meantime, tell the ones you love, that you love them, everyday. Don’t take any moment for granted.
