On May 19, 2021, at age 94, I left this earth to reunite with John – my best friend, my love and husband of 73 years. I will also join my long departed son Bruce and grandson Steven, brother John and my parents Regina and Michael Alischer.
Sadly, I leave behind my brother Andrew Alischer, my niece and nephews and my ever-devoted children – Stuart (Carol) and Karen (Bruce). I will sincerely miss some of the momentous occasions in the lives of my grand and great grandchildren but please know, Tammi (Len), Alison (Brad), Graeme, Kirstin (Jay), Curtis, Shevy and Bruce that you have been treasured and loved.
John and I shared adventures and surmounted challenges. Although military life, with its frequent separations, was difficult, I feel grateful for the stability and security it afforded our family.
To Dr. Paul Howard and his staff, my family and I are grateful for your patience, responsiveness and for the efficient co-ordination of health care services.
Both John and I were very blessed to have lived our last years in comfort at Woods Park Care Centre. Thank you to the staff for your wonderful, compassionate care and generous support and to my fellow residents, “We’ll march along and sing a song and the world will be so gay…”

[“Cremation has taken place. Due to COVID restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice”.]
