Passed away at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie on Thursday April 30th, 2020 at the age of 79 after a brief illness. Loving husband to Gail for 46 years. He was a beloved father to Summer Plewes (Mark), Ashley Plewes, Shane Plewes (Anita) and Mark Plewes (Carol). Cherished stepfather to Christina Foster (Greg) and Laura Ironside. He cared deeply for his grandchildren Foxx, Christopher, Kassandra, Zoe, Hunter, Ella, Megan, Sarah, Alexis, Colleen, Brittany, Zachary, Madison and Savannah. Bob will be missed by his large extended family. Bob grew up with 10 brothers and sisters on Weston Road in Toronto. There was always much love and some crazy childhood antics too by all accounts of the family members over the years. Bob loved to tinker and was quite creative. He used these skills over the years in working on miniature scale doll houses, bird houses and model train sets. In recent years, Gail and Bob have spent summers with their friends up at the trailer. Bob always had a story or two about the fun times that they all shared. Bob loved to laugh and was always up for a good joke. His infectious laugh will be missed by all as well as all of his “Dad/Grandpa Jokes”.
Because provincial directives only allow 10 individuals to attend a funeral service, Bob’s family wish to invite extended family and friends to attend virtually on Tuesday, May 5th at 3 p.m. by visiting:
