In his 77th year passed away peacefully at Simcoe Hospice after a long battle with cancer on November 5, 2020. Pre-deceased by his parents; Fred and Marie, sister Clares, brother in laws; Robert and Bill. He will be missed as loving husband of 48 years to Doris. Father to Kevin (Danielle) and Kim. Proud Grandpa to Kayla, Kori, KJ (Katy), Maddison, Tyler, Kian and Kaden. His siblings; Monica, David (Merta), Carol, Phillip (Aline), Ernest (Paula), June, Liz, Mary (Daryl), Al as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ron will always be honored for his years of service as an Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces as well as his later years as Commissionaire. He will forever be remembered for his giving nature, generosity and huge heart. His regular donations to the Food Bank, Toy Drives and the continuous giving to the less fortunate was second nature.
He was best known by loved ones for the generosity and the love he had for his family. His love of country western music and his sense of humor that could turn any frown upside down. He was the proudest husband, father and grandpa, as we have all benefited from his love in all he said and did. We were all lucky to have him in our lives. This is not goodbye, this is till we meet again.
The family would like to thank Bayshore RN Colleen and Dr. Marianne Belau for the support and care during his time at home as well as the entire staff of Simcoe Hospice for the comforting care provided in these last weeks. You have all made a difference and you’re the best at what you do.
