Stephen Edward Copeland (September 19, 1956 – January 3, 2022)

Suddenly, in his 66th year, Stephen Edward Copeland of Barrie on January 3, 2022.

Loving spouse of Pamela (Werry). Dear father to Lesley (Sean), Christopher, Stephanie (Daniel) and Ashley. Adored grandfather to Isla, Ellie, Lachlan, Lincoln and Lilyah. Uncle to Briley, Cody (Holly), Jessica (Kris), Patrick, Lauren (Eric) and Meghan (Matt). Sister to Bev (Rob) of Wasaga Beach. Son-in-law to Bruce (Lenore) Werry of Huntsville. Brother-in-law to Lisa of Haliburton and Celia (Perry) of Forest. Predeceased by his father Leonard “Toby” Copeland and mother Pearl (Batters) Copeland of Cookstown.

Born September 19, 1956, Steve was a true Canadian right to the brew. An avid hockey player, coach and Barrie Colts off-ice official, Steve, a.k.a “Bulk Boy,” was as gifted behind the BBQ as he was in the garden. If he wasn’t tinkering in the garage or “going big at home” with many a project, Steve could often be found tending to his backyard paradise – pool and pond alike. A resident mechanic and connoisseur of late night snacks, Steve will be especially missed by his two furry shadows, Golden boys, Tucker and Griffin. Steve’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends but has provided the gift of life to another. Memorial donations may be made to the OSPCA.

A Celebration of Steve’s life will take place at a later date.
